iFunbox v1.2.448.467 is out now. We are developing a brand-new UI engine to replace the old-fashion MFC UI. This version is a showcase for the new UI style but only the main window frame is changed. We will gradually transits remaining UI components to the new style in future releases.  Also thanks for sending us the connection log, we are continuing improve the file transfer engine to handle different cases of connection failure. In this version, unpaired device will be detected and fixed instead of showing connection error.

What’s New:
1. Support photo uploading to camera roll in firmware 3.x. (for 4.x, we are still working on that).
2. Accelerated thumbnail previewing for pictures in camera roll.
3. An new semi-transparent window style with edge anti-aliasing, based on Layered Window Technique, which keep iFunbox exhibits consistent appearance on Win XP and Win 7 regardless of the theme applied.
4. USB Tunneling is made more robust, also fixed several bugs cause crash.

Hope you guys feel good about the new UI style. I am not an artist, just try to make it look elegant. Any suggestions or critics are welcomed.

    @ifunbox.dev

First off all i don’t like big icon on window frame, then on Vista and Win7 window is to buggy. Window is to glitchy on resize. It became transparent on move and after that i can only see window frame. Min/Max/Close buttons dont work very well… Sorry guys but i’m back using iFunBox V1.2.427.421…
Anyway keep up good work, again this program is awesome!

One question: Is there any way to implement complete iPhone backup… like custom IPSW (with all installed apps and settings)?

    Sorry for my bad English…

Can you please add a command line option that disables the new look ?

For instance in the shortcut ? Like:
    “C:\Program Files\iFunBox\iFunBox v1.2.448.467.exe” -nogui

No offense, but I like mine better: http://k.min.us/ijW7PO.png

I’m using Arch Linux as my main OS and that’s a VirtualBox 2 GB .vdi file with TinyXP, iTunes, iFunBox, Cyder 2, WinSCP and 7-Zip. Basically all I need to keep the stupid iPod up to date.

    Thanks.

Why no “Camera” folder after open this app

  7. I’m still getting “unable to locate applemobledevice.dll error, please reinstall itunes” I have already tried replacing the dll (which does exist) with the same dll file of previous version of itunes. I have also uninstalled Apple Mobile Device Support and Bonjour Service and reinstalled previous versions in the hope of fixing ifunbox’s error. My only way of using ifunbox at the moment is rebooting my computer and using another windows partition which has itunes 9.2 installed.

I have surmised that the issue is not windows. Seeing as both paritions are windows 7 64bit. The only difference is that upgrading itunes past version 9.2 does not allow ifunbox to work. If one does upgrade and then attempts to downgrade (which is very hard to do) THE ERROR REMAINS THE SAME.

This has become a huge problem seeing as my ipad is incompatible with itunes 9.2, but ifunbox is incompatible with 10.2. WHAT DO? Please fix this soon.

Thanks and keep up the GREAT work.

Can you please make it more portable for those of us who don’t have administrator rights to install the latest version of itunes? I have itunes 8.1.051 or something and i can’t load it without itunesmobiledevice.dll, I tried to put it in the same dir from the newer itunes, but It won;t detect !! pleaseee

Justin, I’m not sure about this but if they included some iTunes dll to make it “more portable” they could risk a lawsuit from Apple (because of the EULA) for distribution of the software “or part of it” without explicit permission (Apple granting permission, yeah right).

Hmmm… But they could, theoretically, NOT include the said dlls with the package and leave basic instructions on how to “rip” them from iTunes ourselves. Then we could probably get rid of iTunes altogether and still be able to use iFunBox. Hope someone reads this.
